G U A R A N T E D T O M A K E Y O U L A F F….
A pastor’s wife was expecting a baby, so the pastor stood before the congregation and asked for a raise.
After much discussion, they passed a rule that whenever the pastor’s family expanded; so would his paycheck.
After 6 children, this started to get expensive and the congregation decided to hold another meeting to discuss the pastor’s expanding salary. A great deal of yelling and inner bickering ensued, as to how much the pastor’s additional children were costing the church, and how much more it could potentially cost.
After listening to them for about an hour, the pastor rose from his chair and spoke,
“Children are a gift from God, and we will take as many gifts as He gives us.” Silence fell over the congregation.
In the back pew, a little old lady struggled to stand, and finally said in her frail voice…
“Rain is also a gift from God, but when we get too much of it, we wear rubbers (Rubber Boots).”
Friday’s Movie Trivia of the day!‘ How much movie trivia can you answer?
What movie is this quote from???  “Must go faster. Must go faster. Go go go,”
Answer: “Jurassic Park” and “Independence Day”
Jeff Goldblum says this quote in both movies; in “Jurassic Park” (1993), it’s when the T-Rex is chasing the Jeep, while Muldoon is driving away from the T-Rex pen, with Ellie and Ian. He says this as the T-Rex is snapping at the back bumper of the jeep. “Jurassic Park” is about cloning dinosaurs, and what can go wrong in doing such a thing.
In “Independence Day” (1996), David (Jeff’s character) says this when he and Will Smith are fleeing the mother ship, after setting the nuke in it, and they are trying to get out of the hanger before the door closes. They are being shot at by the alien ships chasing them, and the door is closing. “ID4” is about aliens coming to Earth to take over, and the world unites to send them away.
