Rather appropriately he is seen driving a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow in the race. He is joined by an all star cast headed by Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise. Others in the race are Roger Moore, driving an Aston Martin DB5 in an obvious send up of James Bond, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Farrah Fawcett and Jackie Chan. The race is an illegal contest that sees competitors come to grief in comical ways and resort to various methods of cheating. All the while the police are in pursuit.
