WELCOME to FRIDAY AUGUST 9, 2024
Here’s The Story…
The phone rang. It was a salesman from a mortgage refinance
company. “Do you have a second mortgage on your home?”
“No,” I replied.
“Would you like to consolidate all your debts?”
“I really don’t have any,” I said.
“How about freeing up cash for home improvements?” he tried.
“I don’t need any. I just recently had some done and paid
cash,” I parried.
There was a brief silence, and then he asked, “Are you
looking for a husband?” 😳😳
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Have a HAPPY FRIDAY!, people, stay safe,
and whatever you do, don’t forget to laff it up! Peace, I am outta here! Eucman! 😁

“I think vests are all about protection. The life vest pro-
tects you from drowning, and the bullet-proof vest protects
you from getting shot and the sweater vest protects you
from girls.” -Demetri Martin
“I went to the doctor and all he did was suck blood from my
neck. Do NOT go see Dr. Acula!” -Mitch Hedberg
“Women now have choices. They can be married, not married,
have a job, not have a job, be married with children, un-
married with children. Men have the same choice we’ve
always had: work or prison.” -Tim Allen
Guaranteed to Roll Your Eyes
On a recent trip to Washington, D.C., my brother-in-law
overheard a patriotic father pointing out a well-known
building to his son. “You see that triangular-shaped
octagon over there? That’s the Pentagon.” 😳😳
Thursday’s’ Movie Trivia of the day! What movie is this about???
Dutch actor, leader of the replicants.
Answer: “Blade Runner”.
Rutger Hauer was not auditioned as such for the role but chosen by the director Ridley Scott, based purely on his performances in three films by the Dutch film maker Paul Verhoeven. Hauer is also known for his “Tears in rain” death scene in “Blade Runner”, which he partially rewrote to great effect. Perhaps his best known American film role.
