Friday’s Movie Trivia of the day! ‘How much movie trivia can you answer? What movie is this quote from????   “Where are his glasses? He can’t see without his glasses!”  

Answer: My Girl. These words were said by Vada during the funeral of her best friend, Thomas J. Sennett.  The plot of the 1991 film, “My Girl”, revolved around the childhood friendship of best friends, Vada and Thomas J, (played by Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin). Having always done things together, the pair were inseparable, regularly embarking on adventures and supporting one and other during times of crisis. Moreover for Vada, who lived in a funeral parlour with her widowed father and invalid grandmother, Thomas J provided her with a welcome distraction, especially when her father decided to marry his girlfriend. However the most memorable and emotional scene of the film came during the funeral of Thomas J, who died after being stung by bees, while trying to retrieve Vada’s mood ring. After looking into his coffin, a devastated Vada came out with the above quotation, tugging at viewers’ heartstrings and guaranteeing tears.
