WELCOME to TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 7th, 2026
Here’s The Story…..
A supposedly true story out of San Francisco (but who knows):
A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the branch & wrote “this iz a stikkup.
Put all your muny in this bag.” While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to
worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller’s
window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo.
After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and surmising
from his spelling errors that he wasn’t the brightest light in the harbor, told him that she could not accept
his stickup note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have
to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America.
Looking somewhat defeated, the man said, “OK” and left. He was arrested a few minutes later,
as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America. 😯
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Have a HAPPY TUESDAY’people, stay safe,
and whatever you do, don’t forget to laff it up! Peace, I am outta here! Eucman! 😁
Guaranteed to Roll Your Eyes
My husband and I often spell words so that our small children won’t understand
what we’re saying. I didn’t realize what a habit this had become until one day
when my husband and I were in the grocery store at the soup aisle.
An aggressive young woman banged into our cart, then nudged me over,
blocking my access to the soup. Annoyed, I looked at my husband and said,
“Boy is she r-u-d-e!”
“Yeah,” he replied, “but I’ll bet she can s-p-e-l-l.” 😯😂
FRIDAY’s Movie Trivia of the day!
I hosted a radio show. Who played me?
Answer: Woody Harrelson!
Harrelson, born on July 23rd, 1961 in Midland, Texas, played Charlie Frost. Charlie hosted a radio show from Yellowstone National Park and that was where he met Jack, Lilly and Noah. Charlie spoke to Jack about his belief that the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar projected of a huge storm to come in 2012. He told him he had a map to get to the ark project to go to safety. He also mentioned to Jack about how the government murdered scientists and other officials who warned of the event. Charlie perished in the hills of Yellowstone National Park during the disaster which struck there. Harrelson starred in the films “White Men Can’t Jump”, “North Country” and “The People vs. Larry Flynt”.
TUESDAYS Movie Trivia of the day!
In “A Tree Grows In Brooklyn” the Nolan family was quite poor in the early 1900s. The mother, Katherine, was a sturdy sort with two fiercely independant children (Francie and ‘Neely’). The clan struggled to survive, even to thrive due, in great part, to the kindness of heart that defined the father Johnny Nolan. Johnny, while gentle to the core, had a major flaw though. What was it?
FRIDAY’s Quizzler….
The police were checking the place. Outside, Mary, Mr. Olson’s faithful secretary, was a mass of nerves. Inspector Will was reviewing the facts:
- Mr. Olson has been murdered. The murderer buried a stiletto through the back of the chair and right through his heart.
- All the place was a mess, but nothing seems to be lost. Some sheets on his desk had coffee stains, but Mr. Olson was not a coffee drinker. There was no coffee container of any kind in the office. There were a couple of gloves in the floor.
- Mary had in her visit book just three announcements: Hari Colton (2:35), Louis Williams (3:10) and Joseph Markis (3:45). Mary says that Joseph was the only one to serve himself a cup of coffee in a paper cup.
- The cup of coffee was found in Mary’s wastebasket. She claims that Joseph entered Mr. Olson’s office with the cup in his hands, and then he left it in her desk, so she took it and threw it away.
- The stiletto had no fingerprints at all, but the paper cup was all covered with one type of fingerprint: Joseph’s (they had a mobile fingerprint lab).
- Mr. Olson’s wristwatch was broken, probably due to the fight, and it showed the time at 3:50.
Inspector Will then talked to Mary, to tell her she was under arrest.
Why did he suspect her?
Answer: Violet was found dead wearing latex gloves, which tend to be worn exclusively in the lab because they can’t risk compromising their data. Her fingerprints would not have been found on any laboratory equipment. Detective Wingate suspected that Meggy had obtained the decanter from the employee lounge where Violet would have handled it without gloves on. Meggy placed the decanter in the lab after shooting her and turned off the light. She then concocted the story about Dean in order to make him look like the killer. The motive was not entirely clear, but Meggy did seem very knowledgable about Violet’s work considering she was in a very different line of work.
A search warrant of Meggy Riddle’s apartment turned up the gun and silencer believed to have been the murder weapon. The trial is scheduled for next fall.
TUESday’s Quizzler is….
It’s true I bring serenity,
And hang around the stars,
But yet I live in misery,
You’ll find me behind bars.
With thieves and villains I consort,
In prison I’ll be found,
But I would never go to court,
Unless there’s more than one.
