Friday’s Jokes, Quotes, Quizzlers and Teases!

Here’s The Story….
After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year outside of New York City, New York archaeologists found traces of
copper cable dating back 150 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone
network more than 150 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, a Los Angeles archaeologist dug to a depth of
20 feet just outside Oceanside, California. Shortly thereafter, a story appeared in the LA Times that read: “California
archaeologists report the finding of a 200 year old copper cable and have concluded that their ancestors had an
advanced high-tech communication network 50 years earlier than the New Yorkers.”

One week later, a newspaper in Louisiana reported the following: “After digging down about 30 feet in his pasture
outside Thibodaux, Louisiana, Boudreaux, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing.
Boudreaux therefore concluded that 300 years ago, Louisiana had already gone wireless.”😱😳

That’s my story and I’m sticking too it! Have a GREAT WEEKEND! people, stay safe, and
whatever you do, don’t forget to laff it up! Peace, I am outta here! Eucman! 😁

Guaranteed to Roll Your Eyes
While watching my grandson’s baseball game, I saw a young mother with her toddler on one of those child leashes.
She was talking with another mom about an incident that happened earlier that morning.
Her little Chihuahua was sick, and she had raised people’s eyes as she walked into the vet’s office with her dog in her arms and her child on a leash.
All I could think was, “What’s wrong with this picture!” 😳

Thursdays’ Movie Trivia of the day! What movie is this quote from??? “
“You’re not from around here, are you? “

Answer: “Starman”
This is the story of an alien intelligence “invited” to Earth by a Voyager probe (and promptly getting shot down when it gets here). It then takes the form of a recently deceased man and enlists the help of the man’s widow to assist its (his) rescue. Directed by John Carpenter, the film also starred Karen Allen, Charles Martin Smith and Richard Jaeckel. Jeff Bridges received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Friday’s Quizzler is…….
Yeah, they keep me locked up, but I guess I’m thankful, in short.
I hand out the beatings, while my neighbors import and export.
We make a good team, especially me as the muscle,
But with two dozen guards, I’m glad we never tussle.
But really, I got a lotta my own connections,
Imports, exports, with thousands collectin’.
But between us, there’s really no competition,
I call it harmonizin’ cause we’re on the same mission.
No one is unnecessary, or, you know, too small,
The guy upstairs is the boss of it all.
He’s also incarcerated, but for his good I bet it is,
Business is good, so long as we get the messages.

Who’s doing the talking, and who are the other players in this riddle? (there are a total of 28, minus the narrator’s connections)
