WEDNESDAY’s Jokes, Quotes, Quizzlers and Teases!

WELCOME to WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21st, 2026

Here’s The Story….
Someone asked the other day, ‘What was your favorite fast food when you were growing up?’
‘We didn’t have fast food when I was growing up,’ I informed him. ‘All the food was slow.’
‘C’mon, seriously. Where did you eat?’
‘It was a place called “at home,”‘ I explained. ‘Mum cooked every day and when Dad got home
from work, we sat down together at the dining room table, and if I didn’t like what she put
on my plate I was allowed to sit there until I did like it.’

By this time, the other person was laughing so hard I was afraid he was going to suffer serious
internal damage, so I didn’t tell him the part about how I had to have permission to leave the table.
But here are some other things I would have told him about my childhood if I figured his system could have handled it:
Some parents NEVER owned their own house, never wore Levis, never set foot on a golf course, or had a credit card.
Pizzas were not delivered to our home… But milk was.
All newspapers were delivered by boys and all boys delivered newspapers.
We didn’t have a television in our house until I was 19. It was, of course, black and white, and the station
went off the air at midnight, after playing the national anthem.
My parents never drove me to school. I had a bicycle that weighed probably 50 pounds and only had one speed, (slow).
I never had a telephone in my room. The only phone was on a party line.
Before you could dial, you had to listen and make sure some people you didn’t know weren’t already using the line.
Movie stars kissed with their mouths shut. At least, they did in the movies.
There were no movie ratings because all movies were responsibly produced for everyone to enjoy viewing,
without profanity, violence, or anything offensive.
If you grew up in a generation before there was fast food, you may want to share some of these memories
with your children or grandchildren. Just don’t blame me if they bust a gut laughing.
Growing up isn’t what it used to be, is it?
Have a great day or pretend to! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Have a WONDERFUL TUESDAY’ people, stay safe, and whatever you do,
don’t forget to laff it up! Peace, I am outta here! Eucman! 😁

GUARANTED TO MAKE YOU LAFF!
There was a competition to cross the English Channel doing only the breaststroke,
and the three women who entered the race were named Emily, Maggie, and Rose.

After approximately 14 hours, Emily staggered up on the shore and was declared
the fastest. About 40 minutes later, Maggie crawled up to the shore and
was declared the second-place finisher.

Nearly 4 hours after that, Rose finally came ashore and promptly
collapsed in front of the worried onlookers.

When the reporters asked why it took her so long to complete the race, she replied,
‘I don’t want to sound like I’m a sore loser, but I think those two other girls were using their arms.’ 😉

TUESDAY’s Movie Trivia of the day!
Perilous Situation!

Answer:  The Mist!
“The Mist” (2010) has a striking symmetry about it. It was based on a 1980 Stephen King novella of the same name, and it was directed by Frank Darabont. Previously, Darabont had directed “The Shawshank Redemption” (1994), another film based on a King novella. “The Mist” introduces us to a small community in the state of Maine that is besieged by an alien mist, full of monstrous creatures. For a small group of residents in the community, a shopping centre becomes both their prison and their fortress, as they look to extricate themselves from this predicament. In some respects, the film bears similarities to “127 Hours” (released in the same year) in that, as well as the physical threat, there is a strong psychological danger to deal with. Not only is this alien mist shrouding the town, it also clouds the decision making, the moralities and the grasp on humanity that the trapped citizens possess. Whilst the horror is ever present and the tension is palpable, the juxtapositions of hope versus despair, unity versus division, scattered among the residents, is as suspenseful as the identification (or hope) of who will survive and how they will escape.

WEDNESDAYS Movie Trivia of the day!

WEDNESday’s  Quizzler is….
A great warrior did not return from the hunt. His family gave him up for dead, all except his
youngest son who each day would ask, “Where is my father? Where is my father?”

The child’s older brothers, who were magicians, finally went forth to find him. They came upon
his broken spear and a pile of bones. The first son assembled the bones into a skeleton; the
second son put flesh upon the bones; the third son breathed life into the flesh.

The warrior arose and walked into the village where there was great celebration. He said, “I will
give a fine gift of a cow tail switch to the one who has brought me back to life.” [The Cow Tail
Switch would be considered a most prestigious gift, a symbol of high honor and acclaim.]

Each one of his sons cried out, “Give it to me, for I have done the most.”

The first son said, “It was I who gathered and assembled your bones.”

“And Father it was I, your second son, who labored to put flesh upon the bones.”

“Yes, but I was the one that breathed life into the flesh”, said the third son, “So the cow tail switch should go to me.”

“Humm, all true, I could not have finer sons than you.”

Which son was given the Cow Tail Switch?
